Sales Team:
 

Doug Ballew  443-250-2780; Doug started at Turf Equipment in 1997, after graduating from the University of Maryland, Institute of Applied Agriculture and working for 11 years as an Assistant Superintendent at Woodholme Country Club, Manor Country Club and Hobbits Glen Golf Course. Doug started at Turf Equipment as an irrigation service technician, and spent several years refining that craft. He joined the sales team in 2002, and covers the western Maryland, northern Virginia, and West Virginia territory for golf irrigation.
 
Todd Cowing  443-790-0013; Todd joined the Turf Equipment team in 1987 after graduating from Auburn University with a B. S. in Turfgrass Management, and working at several golf courses in the southeast. He is a Blazer Award Winner (an award given by The Toro Company for distinguished performance among his peers nationally). Todd oversees the Golf Irrigation Sales responsibilities for Turf Equipment as well as covering his irrigation territory in Maryland and Delaware.
 
Andrew Johnston 443-350-1955; Andrew joined the Turf Equipment Team in 1998 after graduating from the University of Delaware with a BS in Agriculture Business Management and working at Newark Country Club for 10 years. While working at NCC he also co-founded and ran Johnston’s Lawn and Landscaping until 2000.  Andrew oversees the Golf Irrigation sales for Southern PA, South Jersey and Northern DE.  Andrew is a 2003 Toro Blazer winner.
 
George Skawski  610-554-9366; George graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Landscape Architecture.  George started a career in Landscape Architecture at Plantique Nurseries in The Lehigh Valley; it was here he cultivated his knowledge of irrigation design.  George joined the team in 1991, his area of responsibility include North Eastern PA and Mercer County, NJ.   George is a 1999 Toro Blazer Award winner.
 
Mike Hartley 215-327-3591; After earning a degree in Architectural drafting Mike became an irrigation system designer in 1986.  Three years later Mike moved to Golf Irrigation Sales for Eastern PA where he gained a reputation of building relationships with golf course superintendents and helping to solve their irrigation needs.  In 1991 Mike moved to the position of Irrigation Manager and in 2007 to the position of Golf Irrigation Manager.  Mike has a passion to make the lives of people he interacts with brighter; this is evident from his candid humor and the care he shows each person he meets.  He is a Toro Blazer award winner, CSE sales certified and is a Certified Irrigation Designer (CID).  He and his wife Sheila have three children: Timothy, Andrew and Esther.

Estimating & Technical Design:  
 
Joe Burke 800-827-3711 x 4504;   Joe joined the Turf Equipment Team in 2004 after a career in designing mechanical systems for buildings and warehouse management.  He is a 2000 Graduate of Temple University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.  Joe’s responsibilities have included irrigation design, board exchange, inside sales and project estimating.
 
Scott Mumma 800-827-3711 x 3834 Scott joined the Turf Equipment Team in 2000.  He acquired his IA Certification certificate shortly thereafter.  Prior to Joining turf, Scott workda s an assistant GCS at the CC of Maryland and for a new course construction project at Beach Tree Golf Club.  Scott’s responsibilities have included irrigation design & Technical assistance.
 
 

       

Mobile Irrigation Service Technicians
Turf Equipment employs three factory-trained service technicians, Mike Richard, covering Virginia, Blaine Oxyer, covering Maryland, and, Steve Carpenter covering Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.  They available to help you if you’ve encountered a frustrating service issue. Our vans are stocked with an endless array of troubleshooting and service equipment. From central control systems, to lost valves, to inoperable Otterbine aerators, these people are a resource for you.
 
Steve Carpenter - 215-280-8580; Steve has been with Turf Equipment and Supply Company since 2000, after working for several years as an assistant superintendent and superintendent in the Philadelphia Metro area.  Steve is a 1988 graduate of the Rutgers Turf program.  Steve’s territory includes DE, NJ and PA
 
Blaine Oxyer – 443-790-0031; Started at Turf Equipment in 2002, after graduating from the University of Maryland, Institute of Applied Agriculture and working as an Assistant Superintendent at The Elkridge Club. Blaine’s territory includes on-site irrigation repair for Maryland and Delaware.
 
Mike Richard – 443-250-2778: Started at Turf Equipment in 1993, after working for several years as an irrigation contractor. Mike’s territory includes on-site irrigation repair for northern Virginia and West Virginia.
