Turf Equipment provides products and services to several segments of the green industry. The company represents top quality Toro consumer and Toro landscape contractor equipment, to dealers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Delaware, West Virginia, western Pennsylvania and North and South Carolina. We also sell and service Toro commercial equipment and several allied lines to golf courses and other institutional customers in Maryland, northern Virginia, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. In the water management business, Turf Equipment provides a broad array of products to professional contractors and commercial accounts including irrigation equipment, pump stations, pond aerators, pond construction products, low voltage lighting, and allied materials.  

Ever since the company was purchased by Bill Hughes and Lynn Matson, in 1983, our goal has been to complement our superior quality products with superior quality local service. Our reputation has been earned on the basis that all 107 members of the Turf Equipment family know that the customer is the boss and that our job is to solve your problems in a very friendly yet extremely knowledgeable and timely fashion.

On March 1, 2010, Lynn Matson retired and sold his interest in Turf Equipment to Bill Hughes. We are proud to announce that Bill Hughes has taken on two younger, very capable, minority partners, Kevin Monaco and Lance Ernst. Kevin and Lance will assist Bill in the leadership and management of this company, so as to foster and perpetuate our customer focused culture.

As a result of this company philosophy, and a culture of caring about each other and our customers, Turf Equipment and Supply Company, Inc, is today recognized as one of the leading and very best industry distributors in the country. This high level of performance has been recognized by not only our customers, but also by The Toro Company which has awarded Turf Equipment its “Best” in Residential and Landscape Contractor Business and “Best” in Parts Operations for 2009.
